Job Interview Self Critique
Well, it went better than I thought. Sooo glad it’s over! I woke up this morning at 8 or so (after falling asleep sometime after 3:30AM), drank some tea, ate a cookie and then was LATE to the interview.
I know I scored some points during the interview; a couple of times they made good faces like “oh, wow, that is interesting!” and nodded, another time one of them said...
Nervous
I have a job interview in a matter of hours. First I have to go to sleep, though. I am getting nervous. I have three copies of my resume printed out, I’m debating if I should print out my 2 writing samples or print out a list of URLs that include the writing samples and my travel blog (which is hilarious, I was just re-reading the other day). I have my interview clothes picked out. Good...
I Resolve
I don’t normally make a list of New Year’s resolutions. This year I want a list of things I can refer to and that I will actually work on.
Get a new job. This retail job is history!
Be more aggressive
Complain less
Visit the library every month
Write more often. Not necessarily Tumblr, just in general.

My dad invited a co-worker over for dinner. This man commutes from a state 4 hours away and goes home on the weekends. We had a fairly nice dinner and were about to have dessert when the doorbell rang. I thought it might be a neighbor but no, another completely unexpected (to me) man walked in and said, “Chris invited us over for a drink!”
